Timeline
The Earth Pyramid is a unique non profit venture that requires a very specific timeline if it is to succeed. As our aim is to get the whole world to take part, we have tried to remove all political and financial obstacles that may inhibit participation. This timeline has no specific dates set at present but as things develop we will be adding them in.
January 2009-November 2011
The Earth Pyramid started as a simple idea early in 2009 and since its inception our aim has been to try and gather support for the creation of this global monument. Over that time 3 sets of letters have been sent out to every world leader asking them to participate in the venture and our success with this has driven the project forward to where we are today. We have also been gathering support from the areas of peace, environment, business, construction, politics, Egyptology, education, architecture and many other subjects that the earth pyramid covers.
We now have the support we need to carry the venture forward and the following goals within the time line will be our targets as things progress.
Phase 1
(11/11/11 - Launch date of the Earth Pyramid website)
The launching of the website is the first step towards raising awareness of the venture. We need people, governments and organisations to understand the aims of the earth pyramid and the reasons for them. At first glance it may be difficult to see all of the possibilities that the venture will provide, so this phase will give people a chance to discuss the many aspects of it and contribute ideas.
The founders Chamber side of the business plan will now be implemented and the funds raised will be used to carry the venture forward.
As awareness starts to grow we will be sending out a 4th invitation to all the world’s leaders and contacting one school from every country and overseas territory to participate in the global vote.
Phase 2
Once funding is in place and participation from the world’s leaders is agreed we will commence the global vote that will decide the country where the earth pyramid will be built. The virtual pyramid will also be launched around this time and capital raised from this will provide funding for the children’s cards that will be stored inside the pyramid.
Phase 3
The global votes result will spark a wave of activity for the venture. The pyramids design and construction plan can be finalised along with its exact location. This time will also coincide with the sending out of the time capsules for the world’s countries / indigenous peoples and the cards for the children’s chamber.
The pyramids construction can then begin and the contribution s from all over the world will start to be gathered.
Phase 4
Once construction is complete the all the time capsules, children’s cards, digital information and founder’s boxes will be placed inside the Earth pyramid and the top pyramidium will be put in place, sealing the information inside for 1,000 years.
The Earth pyramid will then become a tourist attraction within the chosen country that will help to boost the economy, provide jobs, raise awareness of its most pressing issues and generate the funds to help tackle them. For the rest of the world it will be a monument that shows our commitment to work together as a planet.
